HND — Higher National Diploma

Medical Laboratory Technology

An advanced, hands-on program in diagnostic laboratory science. Students are trained in haematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, parasitology, and blood banking, with extensive supervised practical sessions.

Entry Requirements

  • WASSCE / SSSCE passes in English, Integrated Science, and Mathematics
  • Credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, and one other science subject
  • Minimum aggregate of 24 (WASSCE) or 18 (SSSCE) in relevant subjects
  • NVTI / City & Guilds certificate holders with relevant science background may apply
  • Interview and aptitude assessment required

Dispensary Technician

A focused certificate program that trains students to accurately dispense medicines, manage pharmaceutical inventory, counsel patients, and support pharmacists in clinical and community dispensary settings.

Entry Requirements

  • WASSCE / SSSCE passes in English, Integrated Science, and Mathematics
  • At least a pass in Biology or Chemistry
  • Aggregate 36 or better in WASSCE, or equivalent in SSSCE
  • Holders of BECE with exceptional performance considered on merit
  • Work experience in a clinical setting is an added advantage

Medicine Counter Assistant

A practical entry-level program equipping students with foundational knowledge of over-the-counter medicines, patient interaction, product labelling, safe storage, and basic dispensing in retail pharmacy environments.

Entry Requirements

  • WASSCE / SSSCE / BECE passes in English and any two sciences
  • Aggregate 36 or better (WASSCE), or equivalent
  • BECE holders with credit in English, Science, and Mathematics may apply
  • Previous experience in a retail pharmacy or counter setting is an advantage
  • Good communication and numeracy skills required

Certificate

Fashion Design Technology

A creative and technical program covering garment construction, pattern drafting, textile selection, fashion illustration, and clothing production. Students graduate ready to launch a business or enter the garment industry.

Entry Requirements

  • WASSCE / SSSCE passes in English and Mathematics
  • Pass in Visual Arts, Technical Drawing, or Home Economics is an advantage
  • BECE holders with credit in English, Mathematics, and a creative subject may apply
  • Portfolio of sketches or creative work may be submitted to support application
  • Demonstrated interest or prior experience in sewing / design is an advantage
